Best Places To Visit In September For Your Holidays

23 September, 2019 by Taylor Swift

Didn’t have a chance to travel somewhere this summer? Or were you one of the few actively avoiding the crowds by saving up your vacation days for another time of the year? Either way, planning a trip during “shoulder season” is highly recommend. You can experience the sights and changing seasons without all the touristy commotion. Check out these amazing spots this (or next) September!

Patagonia

the Patagonia in South America, a beautiful landscape for September.

Patagonia is the breathtaking region of Chile and Argentina that has a wide variety of stunning scenery. You can enjoy hiking along the grasslands, or visit the beautiful blue waters and mountains along the Andes. September is the very beginning of the tourist season, so you’ll be able to explore without having to push through the crowds. If you plan early enough for next year, September 18th is Chile’s Independence Day. On this day you can join in the local festivities filled with music, dancing, food and drink galore.

Denver, Colorado

Colorado is famous for having some incredible natural wonders. Nonetheless, the city of Denver is getting a new name as a hip mecca for creatives and millennials. If you are into the art scene, Denver’s River North Art District (RiNo) has numerous galleries for anyone to freely explore. There is also an urban art festival every year from September 2-8 for locals to showcase their talents on the surrounding buildings and neighborhoods. The best part about this city is that it’s surrounded by mountains, providing great views and temperature.

Istanbul, Turkey

The Blue Mosque in Istanbul, the perfect sight in September.

Istanbul is one of the greatest cultural crossroads in the world. It has a mix of European and Asian elements, which is showcased through its diverse art, food, and architecture. You can take a trip through history visiting the ancient palaces from the Byzantine and Ottoman Empire. Or visit the “Contemporary Istanbul,” an art fair held every year in Istanbul in September. Before you leave you can’t forget to eat some authentic Turkish food, like Kebab or Karniyarik.
